Remember this?

Back in 2017 or so, I started a little thing just for fun called Werewolf Facts, where I enjoyed sharing my knowledge of werewolf folklore and popular culture. It’s something I’ve followed and studied my whole life, first as an amateur (and a literal child) and then professionally.
The Werewolf Facts posts I was making were never really intended to be that big of a deal, just a little something for fun that I did out of passion. I wrote them using knowledge I have stored in my brain instead of providing citations, etc, and instead just name-dropping books, rather than getting academic – I do enough academic work, and this was for fun.
But as I continued sharing Werewolf Facts, they became more and more popular, and some have achieved more attention than I ever could’ve imagined. I started feeling bad that they weren’t… well, better. I do and have done academic work. I know how to cite. I have all the sources. So why not make them the best they can be?
This is a project I’ve already started undertaking, but you guessed it: I am working on fully revising ALL the old, original Werewolf Facts I wrote over those years, and I will even be collecting them into a book and publishing them as such. I am expanding them, consolidating them, and adding citations for my facts and points so that you can know for absolute sure that I am not pulling your leg – and I’m not like those random probably AI-generated articles about werewolves that are such a plague out there these days.
In 2027, I will be focusing on this in a big way, especially after the publication of my next, upcoming nonfiction book, which currently has various working titles but will be an overview of werewolf history and a collection of real-world werewolf folklore stories.
On my Patreon, you can follow this process as it happens and even vote on which Werewolf Fact I should revise next! The ones I share on Patreon won’t be the finalized versions, so you’ll get to enjoy seeing their rougher state and my process of refining, rewriting, and reworking them as they go from their original format to a heavily reworked, consolidated, and fully cited one instead.
Over time, I will be publishing these revised Werewolf Facts on my website and on my Tumblr and publishing them as a book, but that may very well take even more time than I can currently anticipate (and yes, I do mean a year or more). My Patreon will be the best place to keep up with news on this long and arduous process and support me as I undertake it – it’s not going to be easy (or quick)!
I hope everyone who enjoyed my Werewolf Facts before and everyone who finds them since, and anyone else interested in werewolves in both folklore and fiction, will enjoy this process and will look forward to the publication of the new Facts, as well as the book collecting them.
Until next time!
