Well, something I hadn’t quite anticipated occurred, and Draft2Digital took what earnings they were holding for me and then asked for more on top of that in fees. So I left, and now my ebooks are no longer offered through the D2D service, so they will no longer available through a lot of ebook retailers, including Smashwords! But that’s okay, because they are certainly still available elsewhere. This is unfortunate, but it was unavoidable, given the circumstances.
The best places to purchase my books as ebooks will remain my website (fulfilled by BookFunnel, a wonderful service, via email) and Amazon.
However, in the next few days, all of my books (except Baring-Gould’s The Book of Werewolves, which remains only on my website and Amazon) will be available on:
- Kobo Store
- Kobo Plus (only my fiction; The Werewolf: Past and Future is not available on this service)
- Multiple library services via OverDrive; this means my books are soon available as ebooks at your local library!
I wanted to be certain especially that The Werewolf: Past and Future was still available electronically through libraries, as it’s found a lot of interest there.
So once again: friendship ended with Draft2Digital, I will just offer ebooks through other means.
This was an unfortunate interruption to all the other work I am doing, so I’m going to get back to that instead!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend and start to October, and until next time!
