So you've adopted a new plushie! Yay! But you have to make sure to take care of your new friend. Here's a handy guide of some do's, don'ts, and general pointers...
- Any handmade product is not meant for rough play! While these plushies are sturdy, they may not survive rough encounters with children and pets. Please play with them gently.
- Never, EVER put a handmade plush in a washer or dryer! No matter what precautions you take, a handmade plush is unlikely to fully survive.
- If a plushie gets dirty, spot clean only. You can use a damp washcloth to do this. Try not to get the plushie too wet! Plush materials are never quite the same after exposure to a lot of liquid.
- Let plushes air-dry. Put them in a very well ventilated space and give them time to dry on their own. I recommend this also after spot-cleaning a plush to make certain it does not stay wet.
- Do not use a hairdryer to quick-dry your plush, if it gets wet. Heat from a hairdryer can destroy plush fibers.
