On my Patreon, tiers Mooncaller and up ($10 & all tiers beyond) can choose to send me writing prompts! This page is to clarify what can be sent in as a prompt and to give a better idea of what to expect from prompt fills.
Rules & Guidelines
- Mooncallers and Huntmasters may send me 1 prompt every 2 months. Nightlords and Apex Predators may send me 1 prompt per month. This is simply to prevent potentially receiving a whole lot of prompts.
- Please send your prompt via the Patreon messaging system, so that I can keep up with the prompts and know which ones I have and have not filled!
- Keep prompts short! Please keep them one sentence, if you possibly can, or at most two. One way to do this may be to create the prompt in the form of a dialogue line that kind of sets a scene, though it isn’t required for prompts to be such, obviously. Prompt examples may be things like, “‘I thought you had it!'”, “A terrible sickness,” “‘Just calm down,'” “Tending wounds,” “Crossing a rickety rope bridge,” or “Arguments ensue over dinner.” There are endless possibilities! I’d love to know what kind of scenes you’re eager to read.
- Do not send me outlines or big story concepts. Keep the prompt open. This applies to setting and/or time period, as well. Prompts may be filled in various settings, including ancient-medieval fantasy and sci-fi. Keep them open enough for this.
- Don’t send me which character(s) the prompt is meant to be about. My inspiration will decide this when I read the prompt.
- Not all prompts have to be comedic! I welcome all potential genres.
- I will never write “shipping” among characters who are not already in a relationship in a published work and/or were in one in the past (example: I might write about Tom and Severina even though they are no longer together).
- I will not write sexual or adult content, including any fetish material.
- I write prompt fills exclusively about my own characters and worlds. No OCs and no fan fiction.
- I reserve the right to refuse a prompt at any time without providing an explanation.
Prompt Fills & What To Expect
- I do not edit prompt fills; I write a draft and post them as rough drafts.
- Prompt fills will always be below or around 1k words (so that my focus will always remain on my upcoming published works), with exception of me getting particularly inspired by one.
- I will never write a prompt fill that will spoil a future and/or upcoming book or any elements thereof, including a character’s backstory or world lore that I am not yet ready to reveal.
- I will always write to my current inspirations (which shift, ebb, and flow at all times among my sundry characters, stories, and worlds, while never leaving any of them entirely behind).

Please note, of course, that I will only write prompt fills for patrons at the applicable tiers (Mooncaller and higher). Any prompts sent to me otherwise are appreciated but will be ignored, as this is exclusive to my patrons.
