Happy December! I hope everyone’s having a wonderful Christmas season so far! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

I’ve been posting some public prompt fills for a little while now, after taking some public prompts (the kind like certain patrons can send me on occasion). Some are comedic, some are dramatic, some are whatever else!
All feature various important Wulfgard characters, and one is even a surprise Nova Refuge prompt featuring some of the galaxy’s Native species… namely, the villainous of them: the Mahlok.
I had a lot of fun writing these. It was my effort to take a load off and write a few little things for fun again. No consequence, no stress, no judgment, just hammer out and toss up, unedited! It’s hard for me to do, but I’m trying.

Hello, good day, I have big news!
It seems I have a case of the blues
Which is not a good thing, for you see
This is my time of yearly glee.
Christmas is my favorite time of year
And thus I want my Christmas cheer!
Therefore, for the sake of mental health,
I’m taking a break and entering stealth.
This will be my first doing such a thing
I’m a bit nervous, for to work I cling–
But it’s a mode I would like to shake,
For there’s nothing wrong with taking a break.
With so many prompts complete,
I feel perhaps I shall take a beat.
But don’t worry, more updates to come
Especially after I have rested some.
And, Mav, you ask, what’s with the rhymes?
Because Christmas is the best of times!
And I felt random, so I thought
It might be fun to rhyme a lot.
Does it have mode and meter and sense?
Does it have matching syllables and tense?
Does each line flow one after another?
Or does it sound like a bunch of clutter?
No, it’s not in a book or a work so dense!
So not at all, I say, I just jotted it thence!
Seriously, I sat down and wrote this whole thing
On a whim, late at night; just a random fling.
I could certainly overthink all this too
But why on earth would I do that, in lieu
Of enjoying my silliness and random possession
To write such a post in a single session?
I could be clever, vary the meter
But if rhymes I sever, then I’m a cheater
Anyway, point is, don’t frown or fret!
I am of course in all your debt
But I’ve been pushing too hard, working too late
You’d think I had some particular date
And many a whip cracking at my back
Instead of great patrons not giving me flak!
I appreciate you all more than you mind
So patient, so generous, and so kind!
So with great thanks, again, I say
I could not hope for better patrons today.
Toward the new year, I’ll have another post
Discussing what I did and all that was grossed
Last year, as a whole, and what will come next
And all the boxes that need their checks.
But don’t worry about me, I’m not all that bad
Though seeing this, you’d think I’ve gone mad!
Really it’s just a normal possession;
I’ve always loved a good rhyming session.
I reused a rhyme! It’s time to stop!
Alright, this post I’ll finally crop.
So be merry and rejoice, with good times and love
Let us give and be thankful to Him above.
I have books, and art, and writing galore
There is still so very much in store!
Next year, you will see, there is much to await
And more updates on Bloodmoon and Wulfgard’s fate.
There will be Curse and werewolves and more
Nonfiction, ebooks, and expanded lore!
But, for now, let us share in the season’s light;
I hope your holidays are blessèd and bright.
